Why it isn't free
Several online tools offer a free AI Act self-assessment, in a three-to-five-minute questionnaire. Sundatalab made a different choice: a few minutes of questions cannot capture a company's actual usage, in particular the usage management itself is unaware of.
Billing for the diagnostic guarantees it is carried through to the end, by our teams, on the systems actually in use. It's the same principle as the Studio's audit: our diagnostics sometimes conclude there is nothing to build next, and that is precisely what makes them credible.
What the diagnostic assesses, precisely
- Inventory of every AI system used in the company, including undeclared usage
- Risk-level classification for each system
- Ready-to-use compliance register
- Prioritized action plan going forward
Once the register is in place, two independent next steps are possible: ongoing regulatory monitoring (€300 to €800 per month) or strategic guidance, quoted separately. See the detail of all three services.
Why do it now
The obligation to train staff on AI and the ban on certain unacceptable-risk practices have been in force since February 2025. Since August 2, 2026, a new set of obligations applies, notably on the transparency of AI systems and their risk classification.
Sanctions can reach €35 million or 7% of global revenue. An up-to-date register, produced by the diagnostic, is what protects the company before an audit becomes a problem.

Yes: that's the range Sundatalab applies for a complete diagnostic. The exact amount within that range depends on company size and the number of AI systems to inventory; it is confirmed before the engagement starts, never after.
